Birthday Week Begins

At 8:33am this morning, our precious One and Only rocked our world. And he hasn't stopped. Today is London's 3rd birthday. I can't believe we have all made it this far! What an accomplishment. I am proud of all of us. We are exactly where I had hoped we would be....a family that loves each other, needs each other, and wants to be together.

We started London's birthday week early, heading over to the Monterey Bay Aquarium for the weekend. Most of his family was there to join him in celebrating. He was so excited. It is all he has been talking about for months. That Saturday morning when he woke up, I told him that today he gets to see the sharks. He jumped up, and said..."let's go!" We had a great breakfast at our favorite place, First Awakenings, and then headed straight to the aquarium. The best part was a friend of ours let us have her passes, so we moved to the front of the crowd and all 11 of us got in for free!

After the aquarium we napped and then headed to Bubba Gump Shrimp for his birthday celebration. My dear friend Stephanie made London the most amazing Thomas the Train cake. It WAS something. London was super excited and kept yelling, "there's a Thomas on my cake!"
After dinner we went to this amazing park called Denis the Menace. We opened presents, and played for hours until the sun went down. It was a perfect weekend.

Today is starting off pretty good as well. The garbage trucks are coming soon, which is always a highlight. Then he gets to take cookies to school, and tonight we will head off to Klondikes for pizza and Doc Bernsteins for ice cream. Tomorrow he will celebrate with friends at his playgroup. And I am sure we will think of more days to celebrate.

After all it is birthday week. Here are some pictures from the weekend. More to come!
