A New Dawn (an Early one too)

Sorry it's been so long. I gotta say, I've been pretty busy. And when I get busy, this blog is the first thing to go. I promise I will get back to my recipes and such...but it ain't gonna happen this week. Here are a few things that have been occupying yours truly:

I finished a Digital Yearbook for London's preschool just in time for graduation. It consisted of sifting through thousands of photo's for those precious 400, then putting them to sweet music, and then burning them to DVD's. Let's just say it was nuts and I am glad it will be another year before I have to do that again.

WE MOVED! Well, truth be told.... My hubby, in-laws and parents moved us into our new house while I went on a mini-vaca with my girlfriends. We love the new place. It has a ton of room for London to play and for guests to stay. Now we just have to convince London. He still asks for his other house and hasn't slept through the night since we got here. Hence the early dawn mentioned above.

I went to SF with my girls! It was such an amazing trip. The last two years, a few of my closest girlfriends and I have gone out of town for a much needed break. This year we headed to San Francisco (partly for my birthday) and shopped and ate. It was such an amazing time talking and enjoying peace and quiet.

I've been sewing. My sister-in-law is having a baby girl this August and I have been busy making her burp clothes and bags. It is super fun with my new machine, but definitely takes time. Which isn't London's favorite thing.

Lastly, I have been hitting the beach. For 3 yrs we have been trying to get London to want to go to the beach. After all, we pay extra money to live close by. But he never bought it. This past weekend, with all the hot weather, I decided to put him in his new shark trunks and head out for a little peer pressure. With his best girlie in tow, we parked our towels close to the water and waited. My plan worked. After just a few minutes of watching his girl get wet he decided he was ready.

I haven't been able to stop him since.

Well, that's about it. Lots of little things in between, but that's the big stuff. Hopefully we will get back in the swing soon. And hopefully London will decide this place is sweet and sleep a little better. That's always helps!!
