Vegas baby

This last weekend, Travis and I headed to Las Vegas for a Michael buble concert. About a month ago, i couldn't wait to go. But a few days after getting back from my parents house I came down with something gnarly. Something resembling Salmonella. Not sure if that's exactly what I had, but I had all the symptoms. And because I love my readers so much, I will spare you the details. It was intense though. Thank the Lord my mom the nurse was staying with us. She jumped right into action and before you knew it......

I had lost ALL the weight i had worked so hard to gain. I had finally gotten to a point in my pregnancy where I could eat again and then came down with food poisoning. Needless to say, I wont be eating eggs anytime soon.

After I recovered from that, I was actually starting to look forward to getting away with Trav. Until he infected me with the cold he had been battling the week before. I tried everything to not get that cold from him. I mean everything:). But alas, I ended up with an extreme sore throat and cough. Just in time for Sin City.

So Friday we took off for the luxurious 7 hr drive through the middle of nowhere to Vegas. The highlight of the trip was the amazing hotel we stayed in. It is in then new City Center, next to the Bellagio. The hotel we stayed in is called Vdara. It is a non-smoking, no casino, Eco-friendly hotel. Magical. And the suites were insane. Thankfully, the beds were super comfy because that is where I spent my weekend. Sleeping and coughing.

Atleast the concert was amazing. Great seats, good company, sweet entertainment. I will post pictures soon.

Now off to concentrate on getting better ( hopefully not strep) so that I can really enjoy our next trip in Friday. Oahu!!!!

PS- in case you don't have Facebook, we found out we are having a baby girl this February. Baby Stella Jean showed us mostly her back, but it's a cute one! I'll try to post one of those pics as well.
