Hello out there...anyone there? I can't believe it has been since September. Wow. Most of you are on facebook, or are family, so I don't think there is much you have missed. But I have been asked by some to TRY and post at least once a week, just to keep them updated. So, here is my attempt. I will try to post once a week, but as this new baby rapidly approaches, my promise may not last long.
Since September, a lot has happened. We bought a house on the Central Coast, a dream of mine for a decade. My hubby works so hard to make our dreams come true, and I can't believe this one actually did. We love it here, and although family is far away, our friends and the ocean keep us company.
Stella, our baby girl, is weeks away from joining the fam. She hasn't been without drama though. Travis likes to joke that she is already costing us money and stressing us out. Turns out, about half way through my pregnancy, I noticed she wasn't moving much. I mentioned it to the doc, who sent me for an ultrasound. Turns out I have really low amniotic fluid. Apparently, it is common although they have yet to figure out why mine is so low. So poor baby girl is all squished in there, with barely any room to grow. She is measuring small, but with really long legs. I'm thinking....SUPERMODEL!! Just kidding. We are just praying that she is able to stay put as long as she needs to get those lungs strong. I am currently 35 weeks so we are getting really close to the "ok to deliver" zone. I can't believe it is getting so close. We are excited, nervous, anxious...
But big brother couldn't be more excited. He asks me weekly when she is going to come and reminds me that he wants to rock her. He feels, as do I, that this process is WAY TOO long and that it just needs to be over. I keep reminding him that once she is here, we can't take her back. So just enjoy being the only one for these last few weeks! He is getting bigger everyday, and we are just trying to stay on top of his energy. He loves the new house, loves to ride bikes with dad and cruise his new Razor scooter. He is still trying to figure out why school is necessary, but graciously goes so mom can have a few hours a week to recoup.
Trav and I are just taking these next few weeks day by day, trying to enjoy our son and our semi-quiet environment before the baby comes and all sleep is lost.
I think that's it. Consider yourselves caught up. I will hopefully see you back here in a week or less! Let me know if you are still around and reading. I would hate to be updating for myself. I already know what is going on:)
Coupla pics to keep you smilin'.
